Helmsley Country Fair

4th June Duncombe Park, Helmsley. North Yorkshire.

 

A beautiful place to say the least.  The park boasts an big house set in the grounds.

Jive Pony were on site already when I arrived. Its always a pleasure to bump into acts on the circuit and Becka Ka Ka and the guys are no exception.

I had not taken the Sutton Bank route to the venue as I was on my own in the truck.  The only way to get out of trouble if the Van had not got up the 25% gradient hill is to take the car out of the trailer and drive it up independantly.  This had to be done in my last van.  I took the easy route and went the long way round.

The day was great!  Lots of sun, occassionally obscured by clouds and blighted by the cold wind but none the less there was sun on a day that had rain forcast.

The organisers were lovely and the crowds giving.  We had two great shows.

Hope we get invited back to Hemlsley Country Fair again.
